Backblaze Upload is ~40mb/s and download/restore is even faster but it takes a significant amount of time for Backblaze to generate the restore link to begin the restore process. With Crashplan this is a setting you can change so you can have locally deleted files never be deleted from the cloud.Īlso, I'm on a 1Gb/s connection and still Crashplan upload caps out at ~25mb/s and download/restores cap out at ~12mb/s.

With Backblaze your files are deleted off of the cloud after 30 days of being deleted from your computer (or if on an external drive that's been disconnected for 30 days). I've used Crashplan for 5 years and Backblaze for 1 (currently subscribed to both), you've missed some key differences and benchmarks. This is an incredibly superficial review.
